Tell us a bit about Big Insurance
We have been in business for 13 years. However we recently arrived in Fredericton in April 2022. We are locally owned by managing partners here in Fredericton. We are national and have over 75 offices across Canada. We move quicker than anyone in the industry. We’re resilient, adaptable and embrace change, including learning from our mistakes.
What services do you offer?
We offer personal home and auto insurance products as well as commercial insurance products. We can find a home for almost anything!
Is your business involved in any community activities?
Our local office supports many fund raising events like hole sponsorship in golf tournaments for local charities. We have a national program across Canada called BIG Hearts which is a foundation that raises financial support for vulnerable children in Canada
Has your business won any awards?

How do you feel about the economy and opportunities in New Brunswick?
We have such a large selection of carriers to choose from to fit the clients needs it is very rare that we are not competitive. We can always find the right coverage for the right price.
What is one thing you wish more people knew about your business?
That we exist haha. We haven’t done a ton of marketing yet but plan to amp up in 2024

We are locally owned and we pride ourselves on our service and giving you the opportunity to deal with a real person and continue to deal with that same person throughout your time with us.
Bio of Interviewee: Jeff Spidell – Managing Partner
Jeff has been in the insurance industry for 16 years. He worked as an Agency Manager for a large home and auto insurance company for 10 years until deciding to make a “BIG” change.
He along with a few other local partners opened this local insurance brokerage in April 2022. It has been the best decision he has ever made.
