State of the Province Address

Since 1974, the Fredericton Chamber of Commerce has hosted nine New Brunswick premiers to deliver their annual update. This prominent event carries the premier’s message of the province’s accomplishments and future direction to the Fredericton business community. The State of the Province Address is broadcast live across New Brunswick.

Curling Funspiel

The Fredericton Chamber of Commerce Curling Funspiel is held in March at the Capital Winter Club. It is a fun day of curling and networking for our members.

State of the City Address

The Fredericton Chamber of Commerce hosts the State of the City Address annually. With her Worship, the Mayor of Fredericton as guest speaker, this event is an occasion to learn about the initiatives being undertaken by the City of Fredericton. The mayor addresses the major issues concerning the people of Fredericton and speaks to what we can expect in the future.

Annual General Meeting

This event offers members of the chamber the opportunity to approve the new nominees to the board, including the new president. There are also several status reports on the chamber’s financial performance, as well as the work of the board, committees and staff. 

Past President’s Luncheon

Each year a luncheon is held in honour of the hardworking past presidents of the Fredericton Chamber of Commerce. It is a great chance for them to get together to talk about what the chamber has accomplished in the past, what the chamber is currently working on and what the chamber will be working on in the future.

Chamber Golf Tournament

The Fredericton Chamber of Commerce annual golf tournament is a popular event with our members. The tournament provides businesses the perfect opportunity for exposure, networking and fun.

The Business Excellence Awards recognizes the accomplishments of businesses in the Fredericton area ‐ both members and non‐members of the Fredericton Chamber of Commerce. Businesses are recognized in areas of business achievements, customer service, products, employee participation, and community service.

The Business Excellence Awards program recognizes seven business categories: Resilience Award, Small Business Award, Medium Business Award, Large Business Award, Not‐for‐Profit Organization Award, Community Leadership Through Business Award, Start‐up Award, and Business Person of the Year Award.

Nominations for the Business Excellence Awards close in July with the formal announcement of the recipients to take place at a dinner coinciding with Small Business Week in late October.

Parliamentary Breakfast

The Fredericton Chamber of Commerce hosts our local MP annually at the Parliamentary breakfast held in November. Learn about initiatives being undertaken by the Government of Canada that affect the business community. MP Jenica Atwin will address the major issues concerning Fredericton and New Brunswick and will speak to what we can expect in the future from the federal government.
