Live the History
Take a few steps back in time and make some history of your own at Kings Landing! Only 20 minutes from Fredericton, Kings Landing is a living history museum depicting 19th century rural life. Situated on 300 acres, you can learn about life as it was through the costumed villagers as they work and play. There are about 90,000 artifacts – one of the largest collections in Atlantic Canada!
Natural Playground
Known as one of the city’s crown jewels, Fredericton is blessed with a sprawling 120 km trail system, a network that meanders along the beautiful Saint John River. Whether you are a walker, biker or a runner, the trail system guarantees one thing: lots of photo ops (the walking bridge at sunset makes for a great shot!). Don’t forget to check out the Cultural Market in its new location downtown on King Street (former Read’s), it has a wide array of international foods and gift items.
Fredericton is home to the most working artisans per capita in Canada, so it comes as no surprise that it is easy to find one-of-a-kind treasures throughout the city. With local hand-crafted artisans shops you will find everything from pewter to pottery, jewellery, textiles and more!
