  • We submitted two policy resolutions to the Canadian Chamber of Commerce, which were both adopted by delegates. One was aimed at making it easier to retain international students and one regarding twinning Highway 185 in Quebec.
  • Our election advocacy had a major impact on the various political parties. The We Choose Growth business platform that was a joint effort of the Atlantic Provinces Chamber of Commerce, Conseil Economique du Nouveau Brunswick, the Fredericton Chamber of Commerce, the Greater Moncton Chamber of Commerce, the New Brunswick Business Council and the Saint John Region Chamber of Commerce

Of course, it takes a lot of people working together in a non-profit organization to make change happen. I want to take this opportunity to thank the chamber’s staff, fellow board members, our CEO Krista Ross and all of our nearly 1,000 members. I can assure everyone that we are in good hands in 2019-2020 with incoming president Karen Grant.
