In addition to her business experience, Janet has also worked closely with immigrants in her role as Career Service Liaison at Eastern College. Janet is familiar with the barriers immigrants often face when entering the workforce or beginning a business, but her experience has taught her that many newcomers have the motivation and attitude that will help them prosper here. “I’ve coached many immigrants on job readiness and can speak for their fantastic work ethic and drive to succeed,” said Janet. “I know that this attitude will be a great asset in building new business and creating new jobs, which is the very objective that this project is working to achieve.”

The Business Immigrant Mentorship Program is currently seeking candidates for mentees (immigrant business participants) and mentors (business owners) for our August intake.
