ABOUT THE CHAMBER

Established in 1874, the Fredericton Chamber of Commerce is proud to be an award-winning organization that continually strives to meet and exceed the needs of our members. The Chamber’s Board of Directors is made up of volunteers representing various business sectors in our community. Board members have extensive experience and understanding which adds tremendous value to the organization. The Chamber works closely with economic development organizations and government to offer the perspective of Chamber members. The Chamber is a vehicle for business people from large or small businesses to prosper together. The united voice of members expressed through the Chamber has a positive impact on issues facing business and the community at large.

Primarily a small business organization, 66% of the Fredericton Chamber of Commerce membership consists of companies that employ 20 people or less. Over the past year, membership has grown with over 30% of the Fredericton business community enjoying the benefits of membership.

As the Chamber’s membership continues to grow, we are proud to offer Chamber members a strong program of events and we offer members numerous opportunities to meet and network on a monthly basis. The Chamber offers education sessions known as the Productivity Matters Education Series that covers topics ranging from Sales, Customer Service, Information Technology and Human Resources.

While attracting new members to the Chamber, emphasis has also been placed on servicing existing members with a comprehensive benefits package. These benefits are designed to assist small, medium and large businesses and their employees. Our Member 2 Member Advantage Program has been a huge success with over 100 offers and special incentives available to all full time employees of all of Chamber member businesses.

The Chamber’s newsletter has also gone through significant changes in design. Insight Magazine is
distributed to nearly 1200 business leaders and government members from across the province and throughout the maritimes.

Looking to the future, the Chamber is dedicated to addressing current issues and partnering with community organizations such as Enterprise Fredericton, Team Fredericton, Downtown Fredericton Inc. and Business Fredericton North to support continued growth and prosperity in our community.

The hard work of the Board of Directors, staff and volunteers have made our organization what it is today, having received the “Chamber of the Year” Award from the Atlantic Provinces Chamber of Commerce four years in a row and six times over the past ten years. The Fredericton Chamber of Commerce is one of the largest Chambers in Atlantic Canada.
